Between the damned, the pissed and the outright insane
Grand architects of failure, sculptors of loss
No golden thrones to follow
No shrines of solace to seek
I shall erect myself over transience
I shall ascend over flesh
Steadfastly tearing through aether
I shall rise to the beyond
I shall reveal heights not yet imagined
I shall rewrite Summa de homine
I shall speak with tongues of angels
And I shall burn with pure light
I will burn allright
On to rupture; bonds rearranged
Scorch the archaic remnants and rip through primordial thoughts
On to diremption: self / kin
All glory and strength of culture now null and void
No golden thrones to follow
No shrines of solace to be found
And only the locusts shall sing at the end of the day

Литоургиiа réussit l'impensable : faire entrer le black metal dans l'église orthodoxe.

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
Featuring members of Noothgrush, Graves at Sea, and more, the Oakland metal band juxtapose cavernous doom with spaced-out shoegaze. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2024

Very late to the party, but for several years I've found melodic black metal all too similar and all albums sounding like Dissection, etc... HOWEVER, not only I am back into it but UADA is still a layer of complexity above the main baseline and this is an old album worth having, that's a basic milestone in UADA's discography and I felt it needed to be part of my BC collection. sachavonkarl74
